3 Reasons Why Knol Can’t Beat Wikipedia

Most of us are thinking that knol is a perfect threat for Wikipedia. The top most reason why Knol can’t beat wikipedia is that even Google noted that Knol is not designed to compete with Wikipedia.

If you’re an Internet pro, you have to admit that both these sites are quite similar. Even knol might be preferred by most of the webmasters, it can’t beat Wikipedia for the following reasons:-

1. As anyone who blogs or tries to build a site with Adwords as a model, those $30 monthly checks are NOT the reason you keep doing it.

2. Squidoo’s seth Godin’s was started three years before to mask wikipedia, but can’t. Knol is having a close resemblance of Squidoo.

3. At present wikipedia is holding more than 2.5 million articles in English. Without ruining its aura of neutrality, Google can’t push its own content too balantly with pagerank.

Do you know Google has promised that it won’t get into content business? But they didn’t keep its word. This is a strategic mistake for them. So Knol can’t become the preferred choice in this field within a very short time.
