Making money with Adsense may seem like a ridiculous idea if you have only been using it for a brief period of time on a new site. The fact that you hardly make any income off of the Adsense on your page is simply relative to the amount of time you have put into your website. However, truth be told, there is a lot of money to be made by using Adsense on your web page; you simply have to fully understand how to use it and how to make a fully functional website.
One of the very first things you are going to need to do is start drawing more traffic to your webpage if you hope to make any money off of Adsense. An increase in traffic means more potential viewers to click on your ads, which of course means a higher likelihood of making a sizable amount of money off of your Adsense alone. Before you start developing your website, you should be forewarned that making money from Adsense is a task that is going to involve hard work and determination. Unfortunately there are no real shortcuts to using Adsense to make money, but there are real results if you do so properly.
One of the best ways to increase traffic to your site is to start employing SEO tactics. SEO stands for search engine optimization and it is the number one thing you will need to get your site an increased level of traffic. What this means, is you develop your website around popularly searched phrases so that it will come up as one of the top five results in Google or Yahoo searches. People traditionally only check out the first few search results, so you want to make sure your website appears in the top of the list.
Including a blog portion to your website that utilizes SEO writing is a great way to draw search engines in as they will be able to read the same keywords over and over again repeated throughout your webpage. However, you do not want to use what is known as black hat SEO, which is simply repeating the words because that can get you blackballed from search engines. Rather write informative blogs that let the natural keywords fall into place repeatedly. You might consider hiring a web content provider if you do not want to spend the time doing all the writing yourself.
Another great SEO tactic to draw traffic to your site and increase your Adsense revenue is to add backlinks to your site. The more backlinks a site has that contain keywords the more likely you are to get a higher ranking on Google or any search engine in general. Rankings are important because they show users that your site is considered important and informative which mean they are more likely to click on the link to your site and then the ads within your site once they reach it. This of course means more money from Adsense for you.
