Pay To Blog- Is It Advisable?
Tuesday, August 12, 2008 11:53Most of the bloggers have lost their Google PR mainly due to the reason that they are making money online by exploiting the PR. Google gave a big blow to these bloggers by slashing the PR from 4 to zero.
Although get to paid for blogging about a site is a great way to earn money online from your blog, the quality of the blog may get detoriated. This means that you’re likely to get less traffic from search engines. Hence Google changed its algorithm in such a way that–the blog which uses the service of the get to paid of blogging sites (pay per post, review me, etc.) may be awarded PR of Zero.
In other words, this means that you will be likely to get meager money in near future due to your low PR. Even you will be happy to take this risk at this moment, but it is really something to be considered.
Now, the bloggers who write a lot of sponsored posts have been penalized by Google by having their page rank lowered. what they will do now?
Now they are removing the sponsored links and trying to post actual interesting posts to capture the lost PR. Even some of the bloggers approached the help of webmaster forums to buy blogs with good PR that can be used to earn money online by writing sponsored reviews.
These bloggers are removing all sponsored post tags on their websites and stopped to place - ‘post sponsored by…’ Even these webmasters are removing any adverts such as ‘hire me’ or ‘review me’. One step further most of the bloggers removed any advertisement for Pay Per Post in their side bar.
Now ball is in your court–what do you think? Pay to blog is advisable or not?

The sponsored reviews offered in my site is merely $5 and the highest being at $10. I would not sacrifice my site’s PR for that

@Riyanne:
I think you should create ‘dummy blogs’ for pa1d blogging. I do not post reviews on my main blogs. And I saw that you are PR zero, been spanked lately?

I’ve removed the sponsor tag and didn’t write for casino review anymore. Obviously paid post is not advisable if you want PR. Sigh.
