Twitter For SEO- a Myth or Fact?
Sunday, January 10, 2010 3:26I thought twitter is for driving more traffic only. So I tweet all my posts immediately to get more traffic from this wonderful site. To my surprise, I checked Bing and Google for the pages I have tweeted. Those pages are indexed immediately if I tweet them . The pages that haven’t tweeted is not indexed immediately.
I tweeted all my posts of my blog- on Voip Online and got PR of 3 in the recent updation process. Interestingly these pages got indexed by the search engines for keywords I tried for on engine listing. (One such keyword for that blog is voip online).
In addition to this, few of the bloggers who tweet regularly linked my pages of the blog regularly to get more backlinks.
As bottom line, Google collects real time data from twitter to include new pages onto their website. As a matter of fact, Google uses important factor of number of tweets to same link to give high ranking in their search engine. So I can say - Twitter for SEO is a FACT… What do you thing?
